Mounted SnowRunner Gets Release Date; The Legend of Khiimori Trailer Shows Mongolian Landscapes

Often compared to SnowRunner, The Legend of Khiimori replaces heavy trucks with horses. The game will enter Early Access on PC on November 4, 2025. After the 1.0 release the project is planned to reach PS5, Xbox Series and the Switch 2.

Khiimori resists easy comparison. It blends a horse-breeding simulator with an exploration game set in medieval Mongolia. There are no pitched battles — weapons appear only for hunting. Players manage their own stables, raise sturdy, enduring horses, then set off across vast steppes, rugged mountains and snow-draped valleys.

The primary task is delivering cargo and packages to remote outposts: arid hamlets or snowbound mountain settlements, for example. Success depends on selecting horses with suitable traits — some tolerate heat better, others are built for cold and deep snow.

From the trailer the game already looks distinctive and atmospheric; the developers aim to evoke the nomadic way of life and present Mongolia’s landscapes in their full glory.
