Mount Eerie’s Phil Elverum and actress Michelle Williams are married, Vanity Fair reports. The two had been wed earlier this month in “a secret ceremony in the Adirondacks, witnessed by only a handful of friends and their two daughters,” in response to Vanity Fair. Congratulations!
Elverum misplaced his first spouse, artist and musician Geneviève Castrée, in 2016 to pancreatic most cancers. Together, that they had a daughter. Williams, who has been nominated for 4 Academy Awards (for her roles in Brokeback Mountain, Blue Valentine, My Week With Marilyn, and Manchester by the Sea), has a daughter, Matilda, from her earlier relationship with the late actor Heath Ledger.
In an interview with Vanity Fair‘s Amanda Fortini, Williams known as their relationship “very sacred and very special.” She continued, “Ultimately the way he loves me is the way I want to live my life on the whole. I work to be free inside of the moment. I parent to let Matilda feel free to be herself, and I am finally loved by someone who makes me feel free.”
