For reasons that have not been explained, the Wink streaming service has renamed the series “Moscow Doesn’t Believe in Tears. Everything’s Just Beginning” to “Tears in the Big City.” The show has also been assigned a new page on the platform.
Currently, the service hosts two listings for the same series under different titles; the original entry may be removed later.
It’s possible that showrunner Zhora Kryzhovnikov opted for the new title to distance the project from the legacy of Vladimir Menshov’s iconic film.
As a reminder, “Moscow Doesn’t Believe in Tears. Everything’s Just Beginning” premiered on Wink on September 4.
