Digital Sun has announced a delay to the early access launch of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault. Originally scheduled for October 23, 2025, the release is now set for November 19, 2025.
The reason is unsurprising: October’s release calendar proved too crowded. In an official statement the studio remarked, “As any seasoned shopkeeper knows, even the rarest gem can be overlooked on an overcrowded shelf.”
On the bright side, closed PC tests on Steam and the Microsoft Store will begin soon. More details will be shared later; those tests will let players try the changes made in response to demo feedback. The delay should also give the team extra time to polish the game and improve the early access experience, which will ultimately benefit players.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault will be available at launch on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5. The game is expected to remain in early access for as long as necessary. It will be available on Game Pass from day one for subscribers, though prospective subscribers should take into account recent price increases to the service.
