K-pop superstars Monsta X have gone Hollywood for the video for their latest single, “Gambler.” The Oceans Eleven-style heist visual for the finger-snapping R&B slow-burner finds the six-piece band playing a team of bespoke thieves scheming to steal a treasure from an auction and blacking out the city with a bomb.
In true Oceans fashion, they masquerade as first responders in order to make their slick escape. The bilingual song, written by members I.M. and Joohoney, is featured on the group’s new 11-track mini-album, One of a Kind, which also features the Korean version of their Japanese-language single “Livin’ It Up.”
After postponing their planned North American tour twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Monsta X announced the re-rescheduled dates for the long-awaited outing in May. The tour, which was first supposed to go out in June/July 2020 and then set to begin last month, will now take place in early 2022.
“In March, we postponed ‘2021 Monsta X World Tour in US/Canada’ scheduled for April-May 2021 to protect the health and safety of artists, fans and staffs as the COVID-19 situation worsened,” read a statement from the group’s agency, Starship Entertainment. “For the fans who are waiting for the new tour schedule, we have been keeping an eye on the COVID-19 situation and are pleased to inform you for the newly coordinated 2022 MONSTA X World Tour In US/Canada tour schedule. All existing tickets will be honored for new dates.”
