Mobile Version of Metroidvania Awaken – Astral Blade Now Free on the App Store

Bionic Tanya’s adventures from Dark Pigeon Games are now available to download on Apple mobile devices.

The Metroidvania Awaken – Astral Blade has appeared on the App Store. Although the launch was originally planned for September 26, the game only went live last night. Notably, the release format is unusual — the title is offered as a free download and, according to the app listing, contains no in‑app purchases.

It remains unclear whether this is a temporary promotion or a technical hiccup: neither Dark Pigeon Games nor publisher ESDigital Games have provided an official comment.

Awaken: Astral Blade follows Tanya, a young woman whose body was radically altered by scientific experiments. At the behest of her creator she sets out for the island of Horas, where the native flora and fauna have mutated into aggressive creatures.

The mobile edition includes adapted touch controls, gamepad support, and the full content of the original release. The developers have also reduced mandatory backtracking and added options to lower the difficulty, making the experience more accessible for newcomers.
