Millie Bobby Brown, known for her breakout role in Stranger Things, is set to lead Gia Coppola’s upcoming film (the director of Palo Alto). The picture will chronicle the rise of Olympic champion and gymnast Kerri Strug.
Netflix is reportedly in talks to acquire the distribution rights. Filming is scheduled to begin in mid next year.
In the late 1990s, Strug was a member of the celebrated “Magnificent Seven” team that secured the gold medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
