Mike Myers Announces New “Austin Powers” Movie

Actor Mike Myers has confirmed that a fourth installment of the iconic Austin Powers franchise is officially in the works.

During an appearance on Trevor Noah’s podcast, Myers was asked about the possibility of a sequel. His response was characteristically brief:

Yes.

He refrained from providing further details, and it remains unclear whether director Jay Roach will return to helm the project.

In the original trilogy, Myers famously portrayed both the titular protagonist and his arch-nemesis, Dr. Evil. The series launched in 1997 with Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, followed by The Spy Who Shagged Me and Goldmember.

The franchise serves as a satirical homage to James Bond and classic spy thrillers, having grossed a combined $470 million at the global box office. Speculation regarding a potential fourth film has been circulating since the late 2000s.
