Migos Bring ‘Culture III’ to the BET Awards, Assisted By a Pregnant Cardi B

Migos took the stage at the 2021 BET Awards tonight (June 27) for a performance of multiple songs from their recently released Culture III album — with a special guest showing up with an unexpected new look.

Taking the stage in matching shiny button-downs and pants (and gas masks, initially), the trio performed Culture III single “Straightenin” amidst a post-apocalyptic backdrop of fire and explosions, even mixing in some light choreography on the song’s flute-heavy hook. The trio then moved to “Type S–t,” with the song’s guest rapper Cardi B taking the stage in a diamond-studded outfit — with a mesh belly section that showed off her apparent new baby bump, much to the delight of social media.

Migos were also nominated in the best group category at this year’s BET Awards, losing out shortly after their performance to Silk Sonic. Cardi is up for four awards on the night, including best female hip-hop artist, best collaboration (with Megan Thee Stallion for “WAP”) and twice in best video (for “WAP” and her only solo smash “Up”).
