Michelle Branch had some exciting news to share over the weekend. The Grammy-winning 38 year-old singer posted an image of some delicious-looking scones on Sunday (August 15) in what looked like yet another pandemic baking update.
“You know you’re pregnant when… Woke up to a picture my friend Sonya sent of scones she was eating in England and I immediately had to hop out of bed and make a batch myself,” she wrote. noting that husband and Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney saved the day by marching off the store to buy her some double cream for the recipe.
“Couldn’t be more excited (and nervous! Hello, pregnancy after miscarriage anyone?!) to announce baby Carney is coming early 2022!,” she added, spilling the beans on the couple’s good news.
Back in December, Branch thanked Carney for his support after she revealed that she’d suffered her first miscarriage. Branch and Carney started dating in 2015, and fell in love while working on her 2017 album, Hopeless Romantic, which he produced. The couple got married in New Orleans in 2019 and share 2-year-old son, Rhys James. Branch also has a 16 year-old daughter, Owen Isabelle, with ex-husband Teddy Landau.
