Metal Gear Survive open beta sneaks onto PC subsequent week

While I’ve little curiosity in Konami hypothetically making new Metal Gear Solid video games without Hideo Kojima, I have to say I’m interested in them taking the center of MGS5 and spinning them off into the open-world base-building survival sandbox Metal Gear Survive. I want to construct a wacky funhouse base stuffed with traps to journey, lure, and repel crystal-headed zombies, particularly as I’d get to muck about with my buddies in co-op. Well, Konami have introduced they are going to run an open beta take a look at of Metal Gear Survive on PC subsequent weekend, packing a number of missions and four-player co-op. Ah yeah, go on.

The open beta will run via Steam from Friday the 16th of February via to Sunday the 18th. Consoles have seen a Survive open beta earlier than however that is the primary to incorporate us too. This beta take a look at will embrace three missions throughout two-maps within the four-player cooperative mode, Konami say.

While save information from the beta is not going to carry over to the total sport, beta gamers will obtain some beauty trinkets in it: a Fox Hound title plate; the traditional Metal Gear Solid bandanna; and a large novelty hat styled after Metal Gear Rex. Hey, the Metal Gear Ray head that Survivors get if they played The Phantom Pain is even weirder.

I’m not that into zombies or survival however MGS5 is such a cracking sandbox of a sport that I’m fairly eager to play this. Messing with guards, sliding round in containers, and usually being silly is a lot enjoyable, and I want to see what occurs when that collides with wacky weapons, foolish traps, and four-player co-op. It appears a promising sport for dicking about. I suppose I’ll see for myself subsequent week.

Following the beta, Metal Gear Survive will launch for actual on February 22nd.
