Metal Gear Solid veteran Ken-Ichiro Imaizumi joins Tencent a 12 months after leaving Kojima Productions

Ken-Ichiro Imaizumi, a former founding member of Kojima Productions, has joined Tencent Europe.

Imaizumi left Kojima Productions last year after almost 20 years with the corporate, having most not too long ago labored as company director overseeing manufacturing on Death Stranding, VGC experiences.

He will now be working from Tencent’s base of operations in Amsterdam. The European arm of the corporate goals to establish funding alternatives throughout the space, in addition to broaden its WeChat message service.

Imaizumi was a founding member of the Kojima Productions, which grew to become impartial when Kojima was fired by writer Konami following the discharge of Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain. He had beforehand labored on each Metal Gear Solid title since 2001’s Sons of Liberty, most not too long ago performing as producer for Guns of the Patriots, The Phantom Pain and Metal Gear Rising.
