Meghan Trainor is officially addressing the digital chatter regarding a rumored rift involving herself, Ashley Tisdale, and Hilary Duff.

On Thursday, January 8, the pop star broke her silence by sharing a humorous TikTok. In the snippet, Trainor is seen typing frantically on a keyboard with a look of genuine bewilderment, perfectly capturing the chaotic nature of the viral speculation.

“Me finding out about the apparent mom group drama,” she captioned the post, which was fittingly set to her latest track, “Still Don’t Care.” She reinforced the sentiment with a blunt hashtag: #stilldontcare.

The Roots of the Social Media Speculation

The Grammy-winning artist’s name was swept into the discourse following an essay published by Ashley Tisdale (writing under her married name, Ashley French). In the piece, Tisdale discussed her decision to distance herself from a “toxic” group of fellow mothers after feeling ostracized. “Even though it had been decades since tenth grade, the experience of being left out felt so similar,” she explained, noting that she felt compelled to advocate for herself as an example for her daughters.

Online investigators quickly connected the dots to a high-profile inner circle, pointing to various photos of the High School Musical alum spending time with Duff, Trainor, Mandy Moore, and other celebrity parents. This led many to assume the essay was a critique of that specific friend group. While TMZ reported that Tisdale’s representatives denied the piece was about her famous peers, Hilary Duff’s husband, Matthew Koma, took a more satirical approach. He shared a parody post mocking the op-ed’s tone, suggesting that certain “self-obsessed” behaviors lead other parents to prioritize their own children over social drama.

Regardless of the extracurricular tension, Trainor remains focused on her professional rollout. Her new studio album, Toy With Me, is scheduled for an April release, with “Still Don’t Care” serving as the project’s lead single.
