Megan Thee Stallion is always there for her Hotties. A fan reached out to the “Thot Shit” rapper on Tuesday (June 15) to share a sad story about her best friend who recently died. “Meg we lost a hottie our best friend passed away unexpectedly,” the fan wrote. “They absolutely loved you, listening to ur songs was something we did every time we were together.”
The tweet noted that they were helping the family with the funeral costs and had set up a GoFundMe to raise the money needed. The rapper responded a short time later, tweeting, “How much do y’all need?”
At the time, the GoFundMe had raised half of the needed $16,000 for the funeral, so Meg stepped up to close the gap with an $8,155 donation, which she made under her given name: Megan Pete.
The person who posted the original plea later re-tweeted a response from another friend who said their late pal would have been blown away by the gesture. “Shaniah would be screaming right now that their favorite artist just paid the rest of their memorial fund,” they wrote. “Meg Thee Stallion is a beautiful person & I know she’ll never see this but she’s THAT b—h. Support the f— out of her please. A musician who truly cares about their fans.”
