«Mary Poppins» to be Adapted into a TV Series

Deadline has reported that a new television series based on the beloved Mary Poppins stories is currently in development. This upcoming project aims to offer a more faithful adaptation of P.L. Travers’ original literary works.

The series is being produced by See-Saw Films, known for Slow Horses, alongside producer Tom Winchester (Shōgun). Specific plot details remain under wraps, and the production team has yet to announce a showrunner or finalize any casting decisions.

The iconic magical nanny has previously been brought to the screen in several high-profile adaptations, most notably starring Julie Andrews (1964, pictured), Natalya Andreychenko (1983), and Emily Blunt (2018).
