2K Games and Firaxis took advantage of gamescom 2021 to officially announce their new collaboration for a Marvel game. The alliance seems unlikely, but the creators of Civilization are indeed working on a Marvel game, with the greatest superheroes of Stan Lee’s team. Called Marvel’s Midnight Suns, this tactical RPG is unique in that it will attempt to explore the dark side of the Marvel universe, with a fight that our superheroes will lead against forces from beyond the grave . In fact, Hydra has managed to awaken Lilith, the mother of demons, from her centuries-old slumber and she aims to resuscitate Chton. This will therefore force the Avengers to ask the help of the Midnight Suns that are Nico Minoru, Blade, Magik and Ghost Rider.
In addition to the sentences all found in the press release where we learn that the members of Firaxis are all Marvel fans, we have the right to a full CGI trailer to discover the atmosphere of this dark story. The gameplay will be unveiled soon (September 1 obviously), which will give us an overview of the graphics and the combat system. As for the release, it is already scheduled for March 2022 on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
