During this weekend’s Evo 2026, Arc System Works unveiled a fresh trio of combatants heading to their highly anticipated tag-team fighter, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. The announcement introduces a lethal vampire hunter, an iconic trickster, and a wisecracking mercenary to the game’s expanding roster.
New Roster Additions
Blade joins the fray, utilizing his signature Muramasa blade for devastating close-quarters strikes while employing firearms and throwing knives to maintain pressure from a distance. Joining him is Loki, who brings a chaotic flair to the battlefield with a flaming sword, a mystical staff reminiscent of the Mind Stone’s containment vessel, and an array of deceptive maneuvers. Players can also look forward to a new Asgardian stage to accompany the God of Mischief.
Perhaps most notably, Deadpool returns with the frantic, slapstick intensity seen in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. His combat style is packed with meta-commentary and obscure fighting game nods—even featuring a distinct homage to Mortal Kombat’s classic “Toasty!” soundbite. Nolan North returns to provide the voice for the Merc with a Mouth, reprising his celebrated role from the 2013 Deadpool title.
The Rise of the Samurai Outriders
Alongside the previously confirmed Ghost Rider, these three new fighters round out the “Samurai Outriders,” a narrative faction within the game. They are poised to collide with several established rival groups, including:
- The Fighting Avengers: Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, and Black Panther.
- The Knights of Doom: Doctor Doom, Magneto, Carnage, and Green Goblin.
- The Unbreakable X-Men: Wolverine, Magik, Storm, and Danger.
- The Amazing Guardians: Spider-Man, Star-Lord, Ms. Marvel, and Peni Parker.
Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is scheduled for release on August 6 for PlayStation 5 and PC.
