Anora breakout star Mark Eidelstein has been cast as the lead in the upcoming biopic Becoming Capa, Variety reports.
The actor will portray the world-renowned Hungarian-American photojournalist Robert Capa (1913-1954). Starring alongside Eidelstein is Esther McGregor (We Were Liars), who plays Capa’s partner and fellow pioneering photographer, Gerda Taro.
The film is directed by Charlotte Colbert (She Will), with principal photography having taken place in Madrid and Paris. The supporting cast features Rossy de Palma and Danny Huston. While a specific release date has not been set, the project is currently in the post-production phase.
Becoming Capa marks Eidelstein’s first international production following the success of the award-winning Anora. He is also set to star in the second season of Mr. & Mrs. Smith on Prime Video.
