Margaret Qualley and Sabrina Carpenter Join Fred Astaire Biopic

The Substance star Margaret Qualley and pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter have officially boarded the cast of the upcoming Fred Astaire biographical film, which features Tom Holland in the titular role.

Helmed by director Paul King (known for his work on Paddington), the production will see Qualley portraying Astaire’s sister, Adele, while Carpenter has been tapped to play the Academy Award-winning actress Ginger Rogers, Astaire’s legendary dance partner.

While an official release date has yet to be announced, the project was first brought to light in 2021.
