Italy’s Måneskin has ridden the success of its 2021 Eurovision Song Contest victory to No. 1 on Billboard‘s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart.
“I Wanna Be Your Slave” becomes the quartet’s first rock chart ruler, climbing 2-1 on the Hot Hard Rock Songs list dated June 26 in just its third week on the U.S.-based tally.
“Slave” takes the top spot with 2.3 million U.S. streams, up 44%, in the week ending June 17, according to MRC Data. It also climbs to 500 sold, a boost of 32%.
As previously reported, the song hits the Global Excl. U.S. chart’s top 10 with 29.6 million streams and 2,300 downloads sold outside the U.S.
Måneskin initially leapt to worldwide fame after its song “Zitti E Buoni” won the Eurovision competition on May 22. The track established Måneskin’s presence on Hot Hard Rock Songs, debuting at No. 23 on June 5 and rising to its No. 8 high a week later. “Slave” has now outranked it stateside, also thanks in part to its visibility on TikTok.
Concurrently, “Slave” lifts 29-25 in its second week on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, where it’s the group’s first entry.
