Love and Deepspace Developers Release Poisonous Cocktail Recipes for Fans
Players have raised questions for the creators of Love and Deepspace.
The gacha game Love and Deepspace has been on the market for several years. Occasionally, events occur around the free-to-play project that draw the attention of even casual players who do not normally follow such titles.
This summer, reports emerged of a “stinking” protest, with users disgruntled over a new character announcement threatening the developers and at one point mailing them manure. Now, Love and Deepspace has found itself at the center of attention due to a toxic drink scandal.
Recently, the Love and Deepspace social media account published this post:
Shake, stir… and take a sip! Once you taste this special cocktail, you will never be able to forget it. Exotic fruits brought together turn into the true taste of happiness. A little of this, a little of that—and the final required ingredient…? What secret ingredient would you add?
The post featured promotional images of beverages. At first glance, everything looked normal: one drink was made with pomegranate juice, while the other used peach juice. The catch lay in what was used to garnish these drinks, as following the recipe could harm health and pose a threat to life.
Glory lily contains colchicine, a substance that can be used as a medicinal drug but is also capable of causing vomiting and diarrhea. Another plant mentioned by the developers is poisonous and causes hallucinations, fever, and tachycardia when consumed.
Players noticed this detail and began expressing outrage. Soon after, another post appeared on the Love and Deepspace account, with the developers urging fans not to follow these recipes:
Warning: All depicted drinks are fictional and intended exclusively for in-game use. Do not attempt to recreate them or consume them in real life.
