Los Dos Carnales Score First Top 10 on Latin Airplay Chart Thanks to ‘Yo Soy Rico’

Having already claimed success at regional Mexican radio with four top 10s on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart, Los Dos Carnales earn their first top 10 on Billboard’s overall Latin Airplay chart as “Yo Soy Rico” ascends 11-10 on the Nov. 13-dated ranking.

The song, released via AfinArte, rallies with a 21% gain in audience impressions, to 6.5 million, earned in the U.S. in the week ending Nov. 7, according to MRC Data. Los Dos Carnales is made up of brothers Imanol, who wrote the song, and Pancho Quezada.

“Yo Soy Rico” indeed asserts the pair’s fortune, granting them their highest ranking on the overall Latin Airplay chart following two No. 12-peaking songs: first entry “El Envidioso” (September 2020) and their latest “La Tóxica” (July 27-dated tally). The former concurrently earned them a first No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart.

The double-digit percentage gain for “Rico” also makes the song the week’s largest improvement among all 40 titles on Regional Mexican Airplay. As it lifts 4-3, it ranks as high as the norteño pair’s last entry (“La Tóxica,” No. 3, July 27).

Beyond its territory gain on Latin Airplay, “Rico” likewise pushes up the all-metric Hot Latin Songs chart (which blends airplay, streaming data and digital sales). It climbs 44-35 with progress in all metrics.
