Lola Young Pulls Out of All Things Go Festival in D.C. After Collapsing Onstage at NYC Show

Lola Young is taking time to rest and recover after collapsing during a performance in New York City.

On Sunday, September 28, the 24-year-old singer from South London announced via Instagram that she would not appear at that evening’s All Things Go festival in Washington, D.C., where she had been scheduled to perform at the Merriweather Post Pavilion.

The cancellation followed an incident the previous night, September 27, when Young collapsed mid-set at All Things Go’s Forest Hills Stadium show in Queens.

In her Instagram message, Young apologized to fans and said she could not honor the Washington date, asking for understanding and a chance to perform again in the future. She added a request for critics to allow her some time to recuperate.

Fans and fellow musicians responded with support in the post’s comments. Kehlani urged her to take the time she needs to recover, while Aurora expressed relief that Young was prioritizing her wellbeing and sent encouragement and hugs.

During the Saturday performance, Young was singing her 2023 single “Conceited” when she appeared to pause and try to reach her keyboardist before collapsing. Security and members of her crew quickly assisted and she was helped offstage after remaining on the ground for roughly 30–45 seconds.

Later on September 27, Young posted an Instagram Story to reassure fans she was “doing okay” and thanked everyone for their concern and support.

The onstage collapse came shortly after Young was withdrawn from Audacy’s We Can Survive concert at New Jersey’s Prudential Center on September 26. At that time her manager, Nick Shymansky, said the decision stemmed from a sensitive health-related issue and emphasized the team’s duty to protect her wellbeing.

Young has been open about her mental-health journey, and her team has occasionally made last-minute adjustments to keep her safe. Her manager offered apologies for any inconvenience those changes caused to fans and event organizers.
