Lindsay Lohan to Star in New Rom-Com from ‘Mean Girls’ Director
Actress Lindsay Lohan is set to headline the upcoming romantic comedy Return to You. The film reunites her with director Mark Waters, the visionary behind her iconic roles in Mean Girls and Freaky Friday.
Set in 2008, the plot follows a successful attorney (Lohan) who mistakenly comes into possession of a DVD intended for a dying woman’s husband. The protagonist must embark on a mission to track down the widower and deliver the mysterious message.
Joining Lohan in the cast is Henry Golding (The Gentlemen), with the screenplay penned by Eric Champnella (Mr. 3000). An official release date has yet to be announced.
Lohan recently wrapped production on the Freaky Friday sequel. Furthermore, she is slated to appear in the Hulu series Count Me In, which is expected to premiere in 2027.
