U.Ok.-based singer-songwriter Lily Allen stopped by London’s Metropolis Studios for a particular Spotify Singles session to play some new music and put her spin on a basic. Allen recorded a canopy of Tears for Fears’ “Mad World” and carried out a naked model of “Family Man” from her June album No Shame.
Allen displays on the trials her romantic relationship faces because of her fears and insecurities in “Family Man.” For the newly recorded model, Allen’s sweeping vocals glide alongside piano keys that carry a romantic, melancholic tone as she pleads, “Baby, do not go away me, I’m simply doing what I can to get by.”
The second observe continues this melancholic theme in her piano-accompanied cowl of the 1982 tune “Mad World” from English pop-rock band Tears for Fears. Allen’s naked feelings body the tune, including a little bit of her romantic, female tone.
