Lil Uzi Vert is a person of his phrases. This previous weekend, Uzi promised followers that new music could be on the way in which — three days, to be actual. “You know, I’ve been in my emotions recently,” Uzi stated to the buzzing crowd throughout his Rolling Loud performance in Oakland, Calif. “But you recognize, about one, two, three…three days I’m gonna drop some new shit.” Today (Sept. 18), Uzi slings over his new file “New Patek” to his zealous followers.
For practically six minutes, Uzi vans his method by means of the piano-laden beat with punchy bars, which incorporates shout-outs to Drake, Naurto and WWE legend Rey Mysterio. “She from the six one 9, Rey Mysterio/I’m the identical n—a bustin’ their stereo/Yeah, my boys on the block promoting O’s, no cheerios/I do not get up within the morning for cereal,” he buoyantly raps.
Though Uzi has confirmed to be a go-to function in 2018, courtesy of blistering appearances on Travis Scott’s “Watch,” Juice WRLD’s “Wasted” and Playboi Carti’s “Shoota,” the Philly star saved a comparatively low profile on the solo entrance. Since June, he has teased fans about his subsequent undertaking, Eternal Awake.
For Uzi, Eternal Awake would function his first launch since his Billboard 200 chart-topper, Luv Is Rage 2.
