Lil Nas X hits No. 1 on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart for the third time – and Jack Harlow for the first time – as their collaborative single “Industry Baby” bows atop the tally dated Aug. 7.
In the July 23-29 tracking week, “Baby” earned 40.6 million U.S. streams, according to MRC Data.
“Baby” is Lil Nas X’s second Streaming Songs No. 1 in 2021, following two-week ruler “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” in April (for comparison’s sake, “Montero” landed 46.9 million first-week streams). His third leader, “Old Town Road,” crowned Streaming Songs for a chart-record 20 weeks in 2019.
Lil Nas X is the second artist with two No. 1 debuts on Streaming Songs in 2021, following Olivia Rodrigo, whose “Drivers License” and “Good 4 U” also started atop the survey.
Meanwhile, Harlow rules Streaming Songs for the first time, following the No. 2 peak of “Whats Poppin” in July 2020.
Concurrently, “Baby” starts its multi-metric Billboard Hot 100 run at No. 2, as previously reported.
