Liam Payne is bringing the “Sunshine” at the end of summertime with his new single, which he announced on Thursday (Aug. 19) will be out on Aug. 27.
“Sunshine” will also be featured in the upcoming computer animated children’s film Ron’s Gone Wrong, which follows a group of walking and talking B-bots who befriend little kids, but a kid named Barney eventually finds out that one B-bot Ron doesn’t exactly work the way it should.
“I am so excited to officially announce that my new single Sunshine is out 27th August and that it’s featured in the upcoming @ronsgonewrongmovie!!” he wrote on Instagram with an appropriate sunshine emoji attached. “I can’t wait for you all to hear it.”
“Sunshine” marks Payne’s first single of 2021. Late last year, he released “Naughty List” with Dixie D’Amelio, which topped Billboard‘s Top Triller U.S. and Top Triller Global tallies, and “Midnight Hour” with Alesso, which peaked at No. 2 on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales.
The former boy band singer recently performed a Here’s to the Future showcase, where he also spotlighted emerging artists while wishing his former band One Direction a happy 11th anniversary.
