To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Resident Evil, Hideki Kamiya jokingly pitched a Resident Not-Evil game featuring a retired Leon Kennedy.
Kamiya worked on the original Resident Evil and directed Resident Evil 2. He congratulated Capcom on the anniversary and once again suggested adding a mode free of horror elements.
Fans responded by asking him to return to the franchise to create a new installment with an older Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield. One user wrote:
