Lee Burridge Calls Legendary Club “A Community” in New Clip From Upcoming Documentary

Lee Burridge’s journey began modestly in 1983, when he played his first set at a pub owned by his family in Dorset, England. From that unassuming start he has built a decades-spanning career that blends DJing, production and event curation.

Across more than forty years, Burridge has become a respected fixture of the international electronic scene. He is best known for his All Day I Dream parties, acclaimed festival appearances including Burning Man and Coachella, and a style that has earned him a loyal following worldwide.

Now his story is the subject of a new feature documentary, Sound of a Dream, which collects rare archival footage, original animation and first-hand reflections to map Burridge’s rise from Hong Kong’s underground clubs in the 1990s to headline stages around the globe.

Premiere: Sound of a Dream will debut on October 25, 2025, at London’s Doc’n Roll Film Festival.

The film revisits key chapters of Burridge’s life, including his early role at the influential Fabric club in London. That chapter of the film explores both the venue’s formative years and Burridge’s own development as an artist; an exclusive clip from the Fabric segment is embedded below.

Sound of a Dream was produced by Unsound Films in partnership with Believe Media. Believe Media’s credits include music and culture documentaries such as the Pink Floyd retrospective Have You Got It Yet? The Story of Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd, Kassim the Dream, and the short documentary Open Heart, which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary (Short Subject) in 2013.

The film is directed by Hoj Jomehri, a filmmaker and fellow DJ who has toured internationally and once performed a back-to-back set with Burridge at Burning Man in 2012. Jomehri says he began documenting their shared experiences on the road—capturing candid, late-night moments and the rhythms of life between gigs—to reveal the person behind the performer.

Burridge reflects that music has always been his primary way to connect with people, and that All Day I Dream grew organically from that impulse. He adds that presenting his story at a festival devoted to music culture makes the film’s debut feel especially meaningful.
