The Venice Film Festival’s closing title, “The Silent Friend,” is slated for a Russian theatrical release in 2026. The film was directed by Hungarian filmmaker Ildikó Enyedi, who previously helmed the drama On Body and Soul. The lead is portrayed by French actress Léa Seydoux. The story takes place in a botanical garden in Germany, with the narrative spanning three distinct periods: 1908, 1972 and 2020.
