French actress Léa Seydoux will headline the project ‘Gentle Monster’, Deadline reports.
The film will be directed by Austrian filmmaker Marie Kreutzer (‘Corsage’). Seydoux will portray a celebrated pianist who relocates to a country home with her family; gradually a disturbing truth emerges that threatens to unravel the carefully constructed life she has built.
Supporting roles will be played by Catherine Deneuve, Jella Haase and Laurence Rupp. No official release date has been announced. Filming is scheduled for this fall. Seydoux recently appeared in the festival drama ‘The Silent Friend’, which screened in Venice.
