In a galaxy far, distant, LCD Soundsystem and The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson have teamed as much as create the New York City legends’ latest music video, for “Oh Baby.” Released completely on Tidal on Thursday (Sept. 20), the track is the opening monitor from the group’s 2017 comeback album American Dream.
The clip stars iconic actors Sissy Spacek and David Strathairn as scientists who’re within the midst of creating a teleportation gadget and embarking “on a devastatingly romantic journey of discovery, tragedy and eternal love” till they’re hit by tragic circumstances.
In a press release, LCD Soundsystem’s frontman James Murphy mentioned of the video, “My goal would be that it works as a video for the song and the song works as a good soundtrack of the film. Rather than a video that serves the song.”
While the video is exclusive for Tidal subscribers for now, you’ll be able to watch a preview under because of Columbia Records.
