Latin Remix of the Week: Messiah, Nicky Jam & Ozuna Flaunt Millions But Stay Humble in ‘Millonario’

Messiah has officially made his comeback with “Millonario,” a track where he pens his dreams of becoming a millionaire and how he would spend his money.

The infectious reggaeton song dropped in March with Nicky Jam not only making a cameo in the music video, but also hinting at a possible remix. Two months later, the Dominican trap artist reeled in Nicky and Ozuna, whom he was not on good terms with.

“Bro, I hope to contribute something to your career,” Ozuna expressed on Instagram. “Blessings and count on me always.”

The remix comes on the heels of Messiah publicly apologizing to Ozuna on Nicky Jam’s The Rockstar Show, where he admitted that as one of the pioneers of Latin trap, he did not want to collaborate with Ozuna in the past, causing a feud between both artists.

“I thought nobody did trap like I did, that I was untouchable and that I was the best,” he said. “A lot of doors closed because of that mentality. In fact, they thought I was a hater. Everyone knows what I’ve done for trap music but trap didn’t do anything for me.”

Produced by Nicky Jam, Messiah’s mentor and inspiration, “Millonario (Remix)” hits home for the artist, who said he was financially struggling for the past two years and went from having an ocean-view apartment to crashing his sister’s couch.

“And no matter how much money I have, I would continue wearing Nike/ They wouldn’t take me out of the neighborhood, even if I have money in Dubai/ I would have a good time all day/ And how awesome would it be to buy a house for my mom,” says part of the lyrics about being an aspiring millionaire but staying humble.
