Konami Releases Major Kick-Off Update for eFootball

Konami has released a major update for eFootball Kick-Off, introducing a full-fledged league mode featuring 25 world championships, a promotion and relegation system, and updated rosters for the 2026/2027 season.

The new Leagues Mode in eFootball allows players to select a club from one of 25 leagues across Europe, South America, Asia, and Oceania to play through a complete season with home and away matches. In supported countries, promotion and relegation take place between the first and second divisions, while player fatigue and yellow card suspensions impact results. Users can also track top scorer and assist leaderboards, and up to four players can tackle the entire campaign together.

The update adds 2026/2027 season squads and noticeably alters gameplay. Goalkeepers are designed to react more naturally to different shot types, defenders are less likely to leave opponents unmarked, and passes connect with their targets more frequently. Konami also improved difficulty levels, stability, and tournament settings, adding the ability to adjust match duration and game pace.
