Konami Not Working on DLC for Silent Hill 2 Remake — Actress

Fans of Silent Hill 2 had hoped the remastered release would include the “Born From a Wish” expansion. Recent reports, however, point the other way.

During a livestream dedicated to Silent Hill 2, actress Salome Gunnarsdottir — who plays Maria — said she has not received any notification from Konami about a DLC. She added that she has nothing to report regarding “Born From a Wish,” which suggests no new voice recordings for the character are being made at this time.

Gunnarsdottir clarified: “I even asked Bloober Team if there were any updates about the expansion, but I didn’t learn anything.” Her remarks cooled fans’ expectations, since Maria was central to the original DLC.

At the moment, all signs indicate “Born From a Wish” is unlikely to appear in the near future. Without recorded voice work or developer confirmation, production appears not to have started. Fans will have to await any official statements from Bloober Team and Konami, if and when they come.
