Kelly Osbourne finds comfort in knowing that countless fans stand with her as she mourns the loss of her father, rock pioneer Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away in Birmingham, England, on July 22 at the age of 76.

On August 4, the television personality took to her Instagram Stories to express her heartfelt thanks for the avalanche of support. “I’ve attempted to write this so many times, and words still feel inadequate…from the bottom of my heart, thank you,” she shared. “Every message, every memory, and every gesture of kindness has carried me through the darkest hours of my life.”

“Grief is unpredictable—it washes over you in waves,” she added. “I know it will take time to heal, but knowing we’re not alone in our sorrow brings us strength. I’m holding tightly to the love, light, and legacy he left behind.”

Ozzy’s family confirmed his passing in a touching joint statement: “It is with more sadness than words can convey that we report the passing of our beloved Ozzy Osbourne this morning. He was surrounded by love and family.”

A week later, the Prince of Darkness was honored with a funeral procession in his hometown of Birmingham, which Kelly attended with her mother, Sharon Osbourne. She later commemorated her father by sharing a throwback clip from their reality show, The Osbournes, alongside a photograph of a floral tribute bearing the words “Ozzy F—ing Osbourne.”

In another poignant homage, Kelly quoted lyrics from Black Sabbath’s “Changes”—a song she recorded as a duet with her father in 2003: “I feel unhappy, I am so sad—I lost the best friend I ever had.”
