Kelly Clarkson has announced an unexpected hiatus for the remaining August dates of her Las Vegas residency, Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions, due to urgent family health matters.
On the evening of August 6, Clarkson shared on Instagram that her children’s father has been unwell, and she must devote her full attention to her family.
“I typically guard my private life, but this past year has been challenging,” she wrote. “My priority right now is being present for my children. I deeply regret any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.”
The shows originally slated for August 8–9 and August 15–16 have been postponed. Ticket holders will receive notifications regarding refunds or rescheduling as details become available.
Clarkson first announced the Studio Sessions series in early February, expressing enthusiasm for returning to Vegas after her successful residencies at PH Live in 2023 and 2024.
This is not the first interruption to the current run: the July 4–5 opening weekend was abruptly canceled just 90 minutes before curtain time, after rehearsal demands strained her voice.
“We’ve been striving to craft the most intimate and extraordinary experience for my fans,” Clarkson explained at the time. “My voice needs rest to ensure we deliver the show you deserve.”
After recuperating, she officially launched the residency on July 11 to an enthusiastic crowd, hinting at a possible live album: “It feels like we’re in the studio making a record—one day I’d love to share this with you all.”
At present, the residency is scheduled to resume November 7–8 and November 14–15. No makeup dates have been announced for the postponed August performances.
