Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman Separate After 19 Years of Marriage

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have reportedly ended their marriage after 19 years, according to a report published on Sept. 29, 2025 by TMZ. The outlet cites a source who says the couple have been separated since the start of the summer.

Urban and Kidman’s relationship began in 2005; they were married in Sydney in June 2006. The couple share two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. Kidman is also mother to Isabella and Conor from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise.

The announcement follows a string of unsettling events earlier this year, including an alleged burglary at the couple’s Beverly Hills residence on Valentine’s Day, when police said the home had been ransacked; neither Urban nor Kidman were present during the incident.

In July, Urban briefly cut short a radio interview after being asked about his reaction to seeing his wife perform intimate scenes on screen, a moment that drew media attention. One of their last public appearances together was at a FIFA Club World Cup match in June; the month before they attended the Academy of Country Music Awards together.

Looking back on their partnership, Urban told Zane Lowe in 2020 that Kidman had encouraged him to take bolder artistic risks, saying her curiosity and fearlessness influenced his approach to music. In 2022, Kidman told CBS Mornings that meeting Urban later in life had been “the best thing” that happened to her.

Representatives for both stars have not publicly released statements confirming the report at the time of publication.
