Katy Perry isn’t letting Luke Bryan tell her what to do about her “leg hair.”
The two American Idol judges were on set filming the Mother’s Day episode of the singing competition series on Sunday (May 9) when Bryan jokingly criticized her about her unshaven legs, regardless of her busy schedule as a mother. The 36-year-old pop star and fiancé Orlando Bloom welcomed their first daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, in August 2020.
“I know you’re a mom and everything, but we got to do something about this leg hair,” he said with a laugh in a video Perry recorded on her Instagram Story, which later zooms in on her legs while “Isn’t She Lovely” by Stevie Wonder plays in the background.
“No! I don’t got time! I’d rather cuddle with my daughter!” Perry yelled back, supplementing her response with #MOMSKNOW on the video.
Back in April, the “Daisies” singer revealed to contestant Cassandra Coleman that since welcoming her first child, she hasn’t picked up a razor. “As a new mother, I don’t have very much time, so I have quit shaving my legs,” Perry said at the time. “But when you sang, the hair on my legs grew an inch and a half. So, full-body chills.”
Bryan told Jimmy Kimmel in April that he actually gifted Perry’s daughter with a Daisy BB gun. “It just seemed to be the right gift,” the country hitmaker said, adding he didn’t think his fellow AI judge would ever present it to her 8-month-old child. “That’ll never see the light of day. Maybe under lock and key.”
