Kanye West is in crunch-time mode working to finish his recently re-scheduled Donda album, and it appears he’s grinding away in less-than-superstar digs.
After a spokesperson for the rapper confirmed earlier this week that ‘Ye was living inside Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium as he completes work on his 10th album, the rapper seemed to confirm that he’s doing away with any and all distractions by posting a picture of his bare-bones sleeping accommodations.
On Tuesday (July 27), West shared an image of his makeshift bedroom — a drab concrete box with a twin bed in one corner, a clock on one wall and flat-screen TV on the other, a locker-like closet with a few clothes in it, an open suitcase and several pairs of shoes, and crumpled-up outfits arrayed on the industrial gray carpet.
A spokesperson for the rapper has not yet returned Billboard‘s request for confirmation that the room is West’s temporary home.
And while ‘Ye didn’t caption the pic, he has been spending a lot of time in the stadium. West held a massive listening session at the home of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United FC soccer team July 22, and though Donda was expected for release on the 23rd, it is now slated to drop on Aug. 6.
West unveiled Donda in front of a sold-out crowd at the stadium after announcing the listening party just two days before. Dressed in his now-signature face mask and a red puffer jacket, he barely said a word while introducing his new music during the event. The shindig brought out several big names, including Rick Ross, Khloe Kardashian and his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian West, who showed up in a red jumpsuit with their kids.
