Kansas City Chiefs CEO Applauds Taylor Swift’s ‘Amazing’ Impact on Fandom: ‘We’re Thrilled to Have Her’

As anticipation builds for Taylor Swift’s forthcoming LP, The Life of a Showgirl, Kansas City Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt paused to acknowledge the singer’s remarkable influence on the team’s fan base.

In a recent sit-down with Entertainment Tonight, Hunt lauded Swift for drawing a fresh audience — notably young girls — into Chiefs Kingdom through her relationship with star tight end Travis Kelce. “Taylor’s connection with our organization has driven unprecedented enthusiasm around the Chiefs,” he remarked.

He continued, “I often hear from fans who approach me and express their gratitude. Naturally, I ask, ‘For what?’ And they reply, ‘Because my 10-year-old daughter now insists on watching NFL games with me.’ That momentum is thanks to Taylor Swift.”

Hunt added, “Her presence has been phenomenal, and we’re thrilled to welcome her into the kingdom. Since she began attending games in 2023, she’s become one of our most animated supporters. If you’ve seen footage of her celebrating a big play, you know she’s as wired as anyone in the stands.”

The interview coincided with Swift unveiling the cover art, release date, and track listing for The Life of a Showgirl, set to drop on October 3. Boasting a feature with Sabrina Carpenter and produced exclusively by Swift alongside Max Martin and Shellback, the 14-time Grammy winner described the album as packed with “bangers” during her appearance on Kelce’s New Heights podcast this Wednesday.

During the podcast, Swift confessed to developing a newfound passion for football. “I found myself sprinting through my home, shouting, ‘We drafted Xavier Worthy!’” she laughed, adding that dating Kelce sparked her love of the NFL. “My friends jokingly asked, ‘Who took over your body? What’s happened to you?’”

The admiration runs both ways; the sports world has embraced Swift over the last two seasons. Hunt even admitted to ET that he’s eagerly planning to listen to Showgirl upon its release.

“I can’t wait,” Hunt concluded of the record. “I’ve been a devoted fan of hers for years.”
