Justin Timberlake Opens 2018 iHeartRadio Music Festival With Shawn Mendes Assist

Justin Timberlake was already proudly owning the iHeartRadio Music Festival stage along with his epic opening set when he requested the gang, “Can I do one thing particular for you tonight?”

Of course the reply was sure, and he did not disappoint along with his particular visitor. “Ladies and gents, I’m an enormous fan of this younger man,” Timberlake mentioned, milking the introduction. “He’s one of many coolest cats I’ve met, he is very proficient, and he is about to bless you — please welcome Shawn Mendes to the stage.”

Mendes hit the stage, guitar in hand, to assist JT with “What Goes Around…Comes Around,” slowing down the already-downtempo music for an particularly dramatic, gospel-like tackle the FutureSex/LoveSounds single. The “In My Blood” singer took over the second verse, completely matching Timberlake’s pleading vocals.

The duo ended the music with a line from Timberlake’s Chris Stapleton collaboration “Say Something,” and as Mendes exited the stage, the band picked up with the Man of the Woods standout.

Timberlake carried out a full set to open day 2 at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, kicking issues off with the pumping beat of “Filthy” and leaving the gang dancing with “Can’t Stop the Feeling!,” and a pack of hits in between. Find his full set listing beneath:
