Jurassic World 3 Dominion becomes the best start in France in 2022, Top Gun dethroned!

While he is being abused by critics and some of the spectators, Jurassic World Dominion (or The World After in VF) is already a commercial success. It’s simple, in a single day of exploitation for France, the film produced by Universal became the best start of the year 2022 at the cinema, dethroning a certain Top Gun Maverick. Indeed, Jurassic World Dominion managed to attract 340,000 spectators just for the day of Wednesday June 8, against 320,000 people for Top Gun 2. In the United States, the film is released today, Friday June 10, and it is already expected at 143 million dollars for its first weekend, knowing that it is screened in 4,676 theaters throughout the country. It would therefore be the second best start of 2022 and the 3rd since the start of the pandemic. We would therefore be close to the figures of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and its 148 million dollars at the opening when it was released in 2018.
