Oscar‑nominated actor Josh Brolin (No Country for Old Men, The Avengers) has been tapped to play the lead in the upcoming project titled “Mr.,” Deadline reports.
The film is produced by Thunder Road, the studio behind the John Wick franchise. The story centers on a retired mercenary who awakens in an unfamiliar house suffering from total memory loss. As he fights off scores of assassins, he also struggles to rebuild his relationship with his daughter.
“Mr.” will be the feature directorial debut of Wade Eastwood, who previously worked on stunts for Mission: Impossible. Production is scheduled to shoot in Spain in the summer of 2026. A release date has not yet been announced.
Brolin recently appeared in the horror film “Orudiya.” In December, a Knives Out sequel featuring him is slated to arrive on Netflix.
