Jonah Hill has compiled a brand new Spotify playlist to accompany his forthcoming movie Mid90s. The 16-song playlist consists of ’90s classics like “93 ’Til Infinity,” Pixies’ “Wave of Mutilation,” GZA’s “Liquid Swords,” and extra. Listen beneath. In a press release, Jonah Hill stated, “The music in Mid90s is extremely private to me.” He continued, “The film was written and shot to these specific tracks, many of which were so important to my own life growing up.”

Mid90s’ Spotify collaboration is being billed as “the first ever Official Motion Picture Playlist.” In a current interview with the Wall Street Journal, Hill stated, “The playlist nature of the music in the film so naturally extends to the way we listen to and share music now.” He added, “A traditional soundtrack, at least with predominantly pre-existing songs, doesn’t make sense in a world of streaming when the songs are widely available.”

Mid90s is Jonah Hill’s directorial debut. It hits U.S. theaters on October 19 (distributed by A24). The movie was scored by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
