Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO aren’t having the smoothest trip to Austin, Texas, ahead of this year’s Country Music Television Awards.
In a TikTok posted Thursday (April 4) by the Dumb Blonde Podcast host — who wed the “Son of a Sinner” singer in 2016 — the couple and their posse experienced a major setback during their flight down south. “When the private jet you’re in just stopped mid air, turned around & said we had to emergency land because of a malfunction,” Bunnie wrote in a text block layered over a clip of her and some friends reacting to turbulence with shocked faces.
In the video, Bunnie visibly mouths, “What the f–k?”
“CMT i swear we’re coming 😭,” she captioned the clip.

In the comments, the influencer confirmed, “We landed but might have to get back on the same plane 😭.”
Assuming the pair eventually makes it to the Moody Center in time for the Sunday (April 7) ceremony, Jelly Roll will both present and perform at the 2024 CMTs. He’s also one of this year’s most-nominated artists, with nods in the video of the year, male video of the year and CMT performance of the year categories, all for his song “Need a Favor,” which peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 in November.
The event will follow one week after the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards, where Jelly won best new artist in both the country and pop categories. “My mama always told me I had a face for radio, baby!” he joked during his acceptance speech. “I never would have dreamed I would be one of the voices coming through your radio…. I love you, Jesus, and I love you, Bunnie, my wife.”
