Jekalyn Carr returns to the top of Billboard‘s Gospel Airplay chart as “Jehovah Jireh” drives 2-1 on the ranking dated July 10, up 16% in plays in the week ending July 4, according to MRC Data.
“Jireh,” which Carr wrote solo, becomes her fifth Gospel Airplay leader among seven top 10s and 12 total entries. She earns her second straight No. 1, after “Changing Your Story” dominated the chart dated Sept. 12, 2020.
Carr’s previous Gospel Airplay No. 1s: “It’s Yours,” for nine weeks in 2019; “You Will Win” (six, 2018); and “You’re Bigger” (four, 2016).
Carr ties for the fourth-most Gospel Airplay No. 1s, dating to the chart’s 2005 inception, equaling the sums of Travis Greene, Donald Lawrence and Marvin Sapp. Kirk Franklin leads with eight, followed by Tamela Mann (seven) and James Fortune & FIYA (six).
