Jason Kelce’s Hilarious Reply to an NBA Star Asking to Meet Taylor Swift: “Get in Line, Buddy!”

Jason Kelce was visibly amused when New York Knicks guard Josh Hart admitted he wanted to meet Taylor Swift. During a recent appearance on the Roommates Show podcast hosted by Hart and Jalen Brunson, the former Philadelphia Eagles center responded to the request with a playful, unambiguous rebuff: “Get in line, buddy.”

The exchange appears in a clip posted on Thursday, September 25, 2025. When Brunson nudges Hart to ask the question he’d been saving — namely, whether Hart wanted an introduction to Swift — the crowd’s reaction makes the moment all the more comedic. Kelce’s deadpan reply made clear there wasn’t any VIP shortcut coming from him.

Kelce’s remark comes after public confirmation of Swift’s engagement to his brother, Travis Kelce. In August 2025 the couple shared photos of the proposal — including Travis down on one knee — and accompanied the images with a lighthearted caption noting, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

Jason has since expressed his congratulations on the siblings’ podcast New Heights, calling the proposal “the proposal heard ’round the world.” Kylie Kelce, who is married to Jason, told Good Morning America that their four daughters are delighted to welcome Swift into the family, describing the girls as “thrilled” to be gaining another aunt.
