Jason Kelce Reveals Mom Donna Wants Travis and Taylor Swift to Have Kids — “She’s Put Pressure on Him”

Donna Kelce appears ready to cheer on Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift as they build a life together — and she’s not shy about nudging them toward starting a family, even joking about a large brood and encouraging them to dream big.

On the September 22, 2025 episode of the podcast New Heights, Jason Kelce revealed that their mother has quietly increased the “pressure” on Travis since the tight end’s engagement to Swift. The topic arose during a conversation with Deion Sanders, who playfully mentioned that he keeps a running ranking of his children.

Jason said of Donna, “Mom’s always had Travis at No. 1,” a line that landed with the family after Jason himself became a father. He explained that the dynamic shifted when he started raising his own children, and that their mom now shows a special pride for the guys with kids.

“Right now, Mom’s got Jason at No. 1 because he’s a dad,” Jason told Sanders, adding that Donna has been leaning on Travis to take the next step. Sanders quipped back, asking, “What are you waiting for?”

Travis’s brother Jason is a father of four — Wyatt (5), Elliotte (4), Bennett (2) and baby Finn (5 months) — whom he shares with Kylie Kelce. Jason’s new role as a hands-on dad, he said, shifted some of Donna’s attention and conversation inside the family.

Though Travis and Swift haven’t announced plans to expand their family immediately, they did confirm a major milestone in August when they announced their engagement. Sharing photos from the proposal, the couple wrote, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

Family and friends have been effusive in their support. Donna even updated her Facebook banner to feature side-by-side childhood photos of Travis and Swift. Jason called the moment “the proposal heard ’round the world” on New Heights, while Kylie told Good Morning America that her daughters were “thrilled” to welcome Swift into the family.

“They’re so excited they’re getting another aunt,” Kylie said, adding, “We could not be more excited for them and what the future holds. We love love, and we love Taylor and Trav.”
